I was offered a Savage LE for my Revo but the 25 is shot so the guy offered a nib 4.6 with it and was wondering, What is needed to convert the 25 to a 4.6?

I know this is not an even trade on his part but if he ships first and it's in the condition he says....why not.

Thanks

I am new to the savage world but i am sure if it has the 4 gear mod in the diffs it should be fine with the 4.6 ,i am sure someone may have a link for a stronger mod for it

Thanks retarded pilot, now this deal is really tempting.

racin 38 if I do get it I won't be doing any mods, I will make sure it runs as it should and sell it. The only reason I'm considering it is I think it's worth more than the revo and would be easier to sell.

The LE has all the mods including the 3-speed. The only external way to tell the LE is 6-spoke chrome wheels & the body (I don't know if the 3-speed is has a mark). The 4.6 would fit the engine mount with a little bit of teardown. If you are just going to resell it, I would hold-off on mounting the engine to show the people interested that it is a NIB engine. I would give them the option of me installing it (if they are afraid of a kit).

Overall value is pretty close really. A new savage costs ~$400 but with the new engine, and savages are more popular, you should have an easier time selling it.

The Savage LE is up there in the $500-525 area...

Yep, $520.00 on tower with a 25, this would have the 4.6. I have decide to try ebay before I'm committed to it.

is the LE kit new in box or is just the motor new? from what i've seen any used nitro truck is worth roughly half of the new price. since its the LE most of the common hop ups are already done, so u can't really add in any hop ups to raise the price...
just my .02

If this were true you could buy a used RTR Revo, Savage for around $230 - $250....and that's not likely to happen, unless it's a total P.O.S. or someone is desperate. Sounds like you have been on the Traxxas board too long LOL. When they want to buy something they expect it for half the price of a new one. Then they want to sell it for top dollar.

BTW the truck is supposedly one month old.

Smaxxin,

nope a tmaxx would fetch about 100 bucks tops...
look around on the savage boards, most of the rigs for sale are heavily modded and selling for no more than 300-325 bucks rtr. people are just cheap when it comes to a used nitro truck. I'm not saying people don't sell them for more, but the average sale price is in that range.

Very true about the t-maxx resell price. That's why I won't sell mine, because I would take so much of a screwing on it. Hell, look at rushrc's t-maxx he has on sale. That thing is as nice as mine, just short of the mill IMO and he's letting it go for new price. It barely has a scratch on it.

Looks like this was all for nothing, the guy won't retunr emails.

on RCU, tried to sell my brothers mildly modded Nitro MT with radio. Could not even get $220 for it with a good Fantom engine. resell on r/c cars, as with used electronics, really stinks!
