I have searched some, but will the picco .21 out perform the 3.3 that came in the truck.Also I have done a tranny swap for thr .21 and a fantom pipe among a few other things. But is the .21 picco/ofna with the pipe make a decent difference?...Thanks
 
OS is now making a .21 that is a drop-in for the T-maxxs and Revo. You could also try the .26 Picco that is made to drop in. Personally I am not a Picco fan...had very bad experience but that is just me talking. Some love 'em some don't. What did you swap on the tranny? You also have one thing to worry about......will all the power make it to the ground? I helped a friend build a sick Revo with the Picco .26, beefed up the drive train to take the extra juice and put a lot of time and money in to it........result... a tuck that could not hook-up and get traction. Sigh.....but damn when it did it would go like hell.
 
At just under $300, I doubt that I would ever bother with the OS21Tm.

May be a heck of an engine, but that's a tall price on a bashing platform. At least for me it would have been.

Like you said though, extra power doesn't find the ground with the lighter trucks. I had a 24.7 with bb conversion in my revo and either the tires were spinning trying to find traction, or the truck was on it's roof when it found traction. It was much more stable and fun with a 18TM in it.
 
I did a FOT tranny with a Fantom pipe on it. Now I need a roto start setup.
 
man this thing like you said hauls a$$. It hooks up real good, but like stated before it will flip on its lid real quick!
 
.21 :0 . I will put in my front half shafts tomorrow.Then she will be a true beast!!!
 
I get with ya and tell ya how it is in four wheel drive! question ? I have never done the front center D/S is it hard ? whats the best way???
 
oh duh, haha naw its not hard just take the whole front assembly apart and you'll pretty much know what you need to do.

make sure the big part of the differential is too the left in the front, or the rear will spin foward and the front backwards.
