  1. Bashing
I got 2 questions actually:

1) I bent a push rod on the front today (it's really necessary to watch out for the 1:1 rigs) :D. I know it can affect how it handles, but if I'm just bashing around, can the bent rod cause any damage to the rocker or carrier? I'll get it replaced soon, but my LHS won't be open tomorrow and I'd like to run some more if possible.

2) On the stock exhaust, there is the rubber piece on the end that directs the exhasut towards the ground. It popped off last weekend and I replaced the 2 zip-ties. It came off again this weekend, any advice on how to keep it on there better? Does the rubber piece do anything besides direct the exhaust to the ground? I didn't notice any difference in sound or performance, however it does make a hell of a mess on the rear arms and the inside of the body.

1) Take it off, bend it back. That's what I did. Just be gentle.

2) Purpose, keeps crap off the chassis. To help keep it on, put a round something in the exhaust stinger and push it around the perimeter of the inside edge at an angle while applying constant pressure. This will eventually create a flare on the end of the stinger. Then lightly sand the stinger with some relatively high grit sandpaper. Clean with DA, clean the inside of the extender with DA, then put it back on. You may find that using a larger ziptie will help as it won't stretch as much when it's hot. I've found that little zips don't work very well for this.

The flare your going for (though not as exaggerated) is similar to the one on this header:

Thanks Olds!! :worship:

I figured I could bend it back, at least temporarily, I really need a vise on my work bench.

Awesome idea on the stinger!! I would never have thought of flaring out the end of it, that's going to work like a charm I bet.

olds got the plan

I'm definatly going to do that with mine too, I've been having trouble it seems with no matter how tight I get the zip strip ( I hate searching for that little bugger too after drivin around all creation for a whole tank then and realizing it is gone.

+1, Luckily when mine popped off, both times I was jumping off the ramp so it didn't take long to find it.
