Hello I noticed when I punched the the throttle the back of my truck really sags, I also noticed that the front really leans forward when I break, and somtimes if I hit a little bump and put on the breaks I do a front flip.I have the stock oil in the front shocks with 20% stiffer springs.I have 40 wt. oil in my rear shocks and 40% stiffer shocks. The back isnt as bad as it was before...but it is still doing it.And the front is worse then when I first bought them.Is it supposed to be like this?I have been hiting ramps the bigest oen being 3 feet tall...but the highest I have ever got was a little over 3 feet, seeing as I didn't have a lot of room to jump. But when I was doing that The shocks were fine.

Well, you will always get nose diving when braking, especially with a monster truck. Since you put stiffer springs and shocks, it won't nose dive as much but will do a front flip under hard breaking You might want to loosen your brake linkage a little bit or turn down your servo.

Like Diver said, your not going to get away from front and rear dipping on a MT or a ST for that matter.

The best you can do is run stiff ass springs with a little thicker oil. Just keep in mind that the length of the savage shock shafts plus the plastic shock bodies won't let you go much over 40 weight oil. If you do, they will start bending and popping apart on you.

Go to the 4 shock set up it's the best mod I have done to date. Truck handels so much better know. I used Nova towers and super maxx shocks.

I'am sure that costs alot... :) Got a link?

I have been thinking of putting them plastic clips on the shocks. The should make the springs a little tighter...plus I am also thingkin of going with 40% stiffer shocks on the fron't as well.

I use those shocks, but I use New Era savage upper arms that are designed to use on the savage with tmaxx length shocks.

I only run 4 shocks though. Arms 32.50 for 2

The shocks can be found here: http://www.hobbyshopnj.com/monmaxx.html

$65 for arms, $69 for 4 shocks. It's a little cheaper, but you only get 4 shocks. Although, I'm a bit apprehensive to use aluminum shock towers. I tried that on my maxx and it just broke a lot of other stuff and the towers got all bent to hell.

I'm using only 4 shocks also. No problems yet. I think I am done bashing and only going to race. Bashing is great but I am tierd of bust'in my truck all the time. Winter is almost here so I think I am going to covert my savage in to a full blown racer during the off season. Vertigo carbon side plates lower & longer, Fantom .27, Servo saver mod, Titianum engine plate. and maybe some other goodies. Hopefully start my 2nd job in a couple of weeks so I can pay for all this.

the front flips mean your brakes r working really well, and i don't c any problem with your truck, it's supposed 2 sag whan accelerating, eventually, with perfect tuning, better gear ratios, or a more powerfull engine you'll be able to do wheelies.

What more powerful engine would you suggest and give me a link if you happen to have one.
