After discovering some discrepancies between advertised and manufacturer-provided specs, I wanted a way to verify the torque ratings of the servos I was buying.

A bent control rod later, I was done!

Important considerations: I set the remote's delay to the slowest setting, so the servo doesn't "swing" the weight through the hardest part of the lift.

The servo horn's outermost hole is 24mm from center, almost exactly an inch, making conversions easy.

I've used this to verify that my DS Power SG-011M's are good for their rated 3kg*cm of torque, but stalled with anything more, while the JX Servo 2506MG's I bought deliver on their 6kg*cm @ 6V promise in a mini-sized, 25g servo, for under $20.
