Super Charge it!!!! What do you think?

That's not the point :nope: . We're talking about supercharged 2 strokes and if they make more power than a naturally aspirated 2 stroke. I'm not implying that the piece we're discussing here is great  or that it even works . I'm just saying that it's a viable idea and worthy of exploration as a power adder . I build a turbo and put it on a .21 Enya back in the late 80's so I know a little bit about what I'm talking about here. Okay, granted I should have used something better than an Enya but I didn't want to modify my Picco . But the little Enya was a power house for it's shortlived stint on my buggy . We had a hard time getting glowplugs to live (it seems we ended up using a Fox with an idle bar) but in the end the puny rod just snapped  . I don't think it was from RPMs as much as it was from detonation .

putting a super charger on an r/c is like drinking beer with out Alcohol

ITS pointless IMO

You know, I love those smilies :jester: . I look for topics to comment on just so I can screw around :hump: with them :fro:

lol wow what did I start hehe. I dont know much about 2 stroke motors but a supercharged v8 ROCKS lol I have a 1959 Impala with a 409 I adventually want to supercharge it giving it around 700 hp :) that should be good for a while mabe someday I can get a keith black engine for it and have 5000 hp lol

Ah. I love '59 Impalas. That 409 is a mean mill. How many miles does it have on it?

Parris001,

Use of Smilies - The  is a hoot, but when there is a thread full of them it gets annoying real quick, while at the same time slowing the site down. Please limit your use of smilies to 2-3 per thread.

That was taken directly from the rules section. Please go back and edit your posts accordingly. Thank you,

- NCNitro

Hey hows it going Yes they are very sweet cars, my motor actually Has 0 miles its brand new and isnt even installed in the car yet. It been a slow project, It was my dads first car and he gave it to me after being in storage for 18 years and everything needed rebuilt I've done the entire brake system, custom wheels and tires that I originaly bought for a 67 el camino I had and new motor but has a lot more to go before I can wake up my neighbors with It lol :argue:

I want to get one of those i didnt know they even made them i was gonna try and make one untill i seen rb ino. i would think that it does the same thing for a nitro engine as a regular supercharger the only thing i would say is that it most likely decreases your engine life more rapidly...

Okay, you obviously used the search button to find this, but di you bother reading the other dozens of threads saying they blow chuncks????
they do not give you any noticeable power increase.....they DO wear the engine out faster (simply having the torque of their flywheel being dependent on your mills front main bearing) and they just blow the air through the ports too fast....messes w/ the pipe backpressure and IMO, it's really just for show anyway....

Well I love boost as much as the next guy, after all my daily driver lays down 345rwhp/449ft tq with the help of Eaton supercharger. I just think a supercharger on an RC would be a huge PITA to tune or just not cost effective at all. I would think one would be better off just installing a bigger motor or a well tuned motor instead. Now, if I had the money to just throw away, I would probaly install one anyways, just to say all my trucks are boosted :)

As all of the threads here have basically said, it is way more cost effienciant to just buy a better engine just because the supercharger doesn't add enough power to notice, but does add a lot more wear and tear on the engine components.
