Summit or Erevo

hey guys,
i am thinking of getting a 1/16 summit vxl. How different are they compared to the full scale summit? I know the 1/10 is a brushed and 1/16 is a brushless. but other than that are they pretty similar?? Or should i spend the extra cash and get the erevo brushless?

The 1/6th doesn't have the locking differentials or the lights. It's basically a Mini E-Revo (mERV) that sits a bit higher with a different body.

The full size summit is a beast at crawling! However, if you are looking for speed this is not the rig to choose, but who buys a summit for speed anyways.

I have the summit and what I did is I put the momba monster on it With duel wires wired for speed and bought 2 vemon lipos and mip steel axles... It does 90 easily and it is a crawler it cost about the same amount as the E revo brushless and it is faster and it crawls better but my friend does have and e revo and it is good to

You have a speed run video? With GPS?

No I don't have a speed video because I forgot to set up the low voltage protection so I had to go down to 1 lipo because it puffed. which is sad but it still goes 40 I like my summit very much but I wish the momba monster was waterproof. But I might by the low voltage switch and put a new lipo in. And try to make a speed run video.

I'm trying to save up for the lipo and low voltage detector!

The eRevo Brushless Edition already comes with the Castle Creation Mamba Monster Max installed and is fairly beefy out of the box. Even running 6s LiPo, I've never seen one do more than 50 mph. The tires balloon up and it tends to be a bit hard to handle.

As far as the Summit doing 90, unless I see a video, it's just so much bragging and has no substance.

Not to burst your bubble BUT not too many people on here are going to believe that video. Most speed runs are going to use a GPS, and for most people to believe it you'll have to have the car in frame the whole run, from the GPS being zeroed out all the way to showing the speed. He also says he's using 15c batteries, the MM prefers a 25c at a minimum, so I doubt he's getting the full speed of his truck.

this is my favorite one
