K so i got 600 bucks for christmas any suggestions on upgrades i should get for it ? I want to have everything ready and upgraded before i do break in in the spring.

new pipe get a high torque steering servo or a waterproof one if it has reverse get rid of it it will be alot faster without it etc.. it all depends on what u plan on doing with it if u plan on just bashing it or racing it

*Motor saver air filter
*Platinum Revo shocks
*Bad Horsie shock covers (or some kind of shock covers)
*Titanium pillow balls
*Rear wing
*Rechargeable receiver pack (if yours came with the 4 AA set up)
*Fail-safe and temp gun (if you don't already have them)
*You could get a bigger motor (but I'd wait until the 3.3 was worn out)
*RPM A-arms and bumpers
*Aluminum push-rods and turnbuckles
*After market drive shafts
*FOC (forward only conversion) this eliminates the Opti-drive module and removes 90% of the gears/parts in the tranny. You may want to hold off on this one unless you're comfortable driving it with no reverse.
*Good set of RC tools

These are all just suggestions/ideas, the only thing I'd say is necessary, is the fail-safe and temp gun.

Well i have the 5308 version so it has FOC, My temp probe came in today
fwk4yv.webp
its very accurate, durable, and its a really good price only $19.95 with shipping. And I got the ofna micro failsafe which i heard on many forums here tht its the best and has no problems. Its coming in on wensday olong with some other parts tht you guys suggested.

I'll probably be in the minority in saying this but I'm going to say it anyway. The revo isn't exactly a week rig stock. I know there are all sorts of great upgrades out there for it but I'd wait to get anything until the equivalent part on your truck breaks. Don't buy it if you didn't break it is a good rule of thumb...

revo is a great truck the A-arms Are weak i would get rpm right away also the pushrods bend very easily...

List of what i did and love
RPM arms
lunsford pivot balls/push rods/turnbuckles
platinum shocks or the mip hard coated bodies
CVD's
Aluminum or platinum steering blocks
Aluminum shock caps and ends (GH rocks cause there strong and have good warantee)
FOC
Good fast throttle servo really wakes up the motor
Single servo up front(prolonges battery life)
traxxas wing kit and mount
Trinity or THS pipe for better power
Motor saver filter

I also changed out the hubs for 17mm so that the rims and hexes are stronger

hope that helps

I have the Ofna fail-safe and it's never had an issue. I test it on a regular basis, cause I cringe at the thought of my Revo in 'runaway' mode.

Jim - I totally agree with what you said. The Revo is not weak at all right out of the box. The list I put out was just 'if you want to' type suggestions. And if I had $600, my Revo wouldn't even look like a Revo anymore.... :hehe:

What pin are you refering to and what kind of CVD's are you running?
