stupid toy rc question

I know everyone here at rcnt laughs at the mention of a "toy rc" but i just had to buy this used didnt know if it was working nikko road shredder off ebay, wanted the fasttraxx but got outbid, anyway, i remember a little bit about it from when i was a kid but not too much, its got a plug spliced into the wires from the circuit board, red and green wires and i have no clue what the plug was for plug is square half inch square, the truck wont work

Speaking of Nikko, I'm building a Nikko Rhino. It was a very fast car, at the time. I also have a Nikko Dandy Dash. That is one nice kit if you can find one or even the hop ups that came for them.
