Was breaking-in my brand new picco 27. I had been letting it idol for 3 tanks and was getting ready to start the fourth and it is just compleatly locked up. What do i do? i am scared that something inside the engine is broken.

Thanks,

-Ice

You must have not let it cool down with the piston at BDC. See if you can turn the flywheel with pliers.

sounds like you may have flooded it, remove the glow plug and and place a rag on the head (so you don't spray fuel everywhere) and pull the pull-start to remove the fuel, then throw the plug back in and try to start again.

if thats not it then try heating your motor up with a hair dryer to expand the sleeve and free the piston

Did you stop it before letting the tank empty? I am leaning more on the piston near TDC or top dead center. If it cooled down this way try using a flathead and try to gently spin the flywheel around to get it from TDC to BDC. If the head is clean near the glow plug, remove the plug to see if the piston is up or down.

Let us know

its not fludded, the tank is empty, and the motor was both hot and cold....it is VERY stuck i even tryed spining the crank with a pliers.

Thanks for the ideas thoe

If you heat the engine up to 200 degrees and spin the flywheel whit pliers you still can't get it to turn over?

ya the old heat gun trick help me break in the jp motor with lil swearing @ it lol

thanks, my mom's hair drier did the trick! :flamer: But go was that thing pinched! it was crazy :hamster:
