Has anyone here had any experience with STS engines? If so, could you please tell about your experience with them? I'm looking to buy one to test out, but i wont get one if they're total junk... it seems that people either love them, or hate them.

Had one once. Sucked. D28M I think was the model. Wasted about 1.5 gallons on it and it ended up like the only Axial I ever bought. Ran hot, low power, tune wandered all over the place. Gave up, sold it as parts even though it looked brand new inside and out. Just like the axial. The same guy bought both from me for cheap.

I've heard some are good some are bad like a coin toss. I have D28M that I've had for a while and just now going to find out if it's any good. I can give you more info this weekend after I run it.

The D28 3 port was a great mill, as long as you kept up with the bearings. The newer 5 port .28 and .30 are very poorly made. 2 gallon grenades if you are lucky. I've heard a good bit about their .21's but there is too many great mills out there in the 100-200 dollar range to bother with STS.

just fired it up for the first time. Started first spin but died a few times before I got the needles closer to where they needed to be. Huge power improvement over my .25 to say the least. We'll see how it goes and if it lasts after I finish tuning it.
