I think I am going to order one of these babies up---> http://www.racernine.com/sts28.html for my LSP and combine it with my new M2C --> https://www.m2cracing.com/categoryNavigationDocument.hg?categoryId=18 4 shoe clutch. If she makes it the season and has the power I hope it to it will be a great bonus. I have heard nothing but good about these motors and customer service so what the heck. It has to be better than my NIB O.S. RG 21 I had planned on running--loved my Hyper 8 port I ran last year but the c-clip on the wrist pin let loose and cut the piston and sleeve up good so it is shelved for now-still runnin a Hyper 21 8 port in the buggy though. The RG just ain't going to cut it in the HP department I don't think for a truggy so it will be a great back-up motor for either one.
:buggy1:

Has anyone here got anything good bad or otherwise they know about this motor?

I ran the 28 in my old savage and it was a beast. In a buggy it would absolutely rip. You may want to retune the diffs for the added power.

I will be running it in my Lightning Stadium Pro (LSP) sorry if I typed that a little confusing, the diffs are Kyosho and set-up to hold big HP and if they for some reason let loose the original LSP diff's are in my back-up truggy also a LSP and they are from what I hear still super tough, but I wanted to be differant so I went with Kyosho diff's this year. I am running 7/10/5 which the guy's with the 928's and 528XP's are running and I am sure this thing can't hold a candle to those motors.

Thank you for the input though so no issues with the STS? Pretty decent power, if it will hang with a mid to top of the line 21 and lasts I will be happy-I could care less about losing a minute of running time which is really the only gripe I have heard of so far.

I only had a a chance to runagainst someone with a P5 and maybe i had the wind against me but I kept getting ahead of this guy. I can't drive worth crap.I bash so anything better than a rg21 excites me.

I got the rg for a song and a dance and they are SO dependable but I just know that it will lack the power I am needing in truggy this year, last year I was plagued with motor luck and clutch issues so I went with that 4 shoe and I want that STS to try out and I now have a new RTR 26 from a buddies LSP and the RG as back-up motors--the RG hasn't even seen drop of fuel the .26 has maybe 8 tanks through it and I just bought a buggy to run this year from another buddy(Hyper 7 Pro) that looks just like new and it came with a new Hyper 8 port in it that he had only run the first break in tank through because he runs V Spec's.

I'm with you on that one Jon2. After having a decent 28 or just a more powerful BB than a 21 RG makes me glad they are my backup engines. They were good for their time and I'm sure they have their place still, but not on any of my trucks.
