Was just wondering what's the purpose of removing the anodizing on the aluminum parts.

it's ugly and pointless....r/c rice...lol

I dunno...probalby people just wanna change the color.

I want to know how to anodize stuff, not strip it. Once I convine my dad that the savage is cool, he might let me cut some parts in his shop. Then I'll need to do some anodizing. That'll be cool, scratch built Savage.

I enjoy the natural color of aluminum on a lot of parts. I'm forced to buy whats on hand at the LHS. If they only have a colored part what the heck.... Remove the color.

Have you seen my CyberMaxx?

I am the same way, I like the natural shiny look. I stripped my Big Bores as well as my bumpers and polished the crap out of them. Although, I think stripping the anodizing off of the Big Bores was a waste of time since they are about worthless.

I like the shine of natural Al a lot better and it offers more of a bling factor. With anodizing once you start getting scratches it doesn't look as good anymore.
