Today I got to do some bashing with my nephew and I ended up stripping two servo horns. I never had this prob till I changed the steering servo.. Am I doing something wrong? Is there such thing as a generic or bad servo horn? Its a low end servo so I was wondering if maybe it was just crappy horns (It stripped both the ones it came with) or cheap plastic. Any help/tips would be appriciated.

what type of vehicle and what kind of servo? Are you using the horn's that come with the servo?
In most cases, I use a ofna servo horn kit. They are usually fairly strong and hold up to abuse.
also make sure you have the right adapter. Futaba, Airtronics, Hitec all have different output shafts.

Its in my savage. The servo is a Towpro or tower pro or something like that..lol.. Its actually a really kick ass servo (Esp. for $12) just keep stripping the horns. And yeah, the ones I stripped were both the ones that came with it.

The ones that come with the servo usaly suck. I would eather use a Ofna kit one or one of the ones that come with the savage.

Not real familiar with the savage but if it does not have a built-in servo saver you might want to get a servo saver style servo horn, other wise instead of the horn stripping out it will be your servo.

I was about to suggest this, maybe a Kimbrough servo-saver horn (like the ones on a stocker T-Maxx). That, or adjust the EPA's on your TX, you may be throwing the servo too far.

So, how'd you nephew like the BX?

He LOVED it. Ill be posting pics here soon.
