  1. Bashing
last week i went out to the track to do some bashing and ended up cutting the day short when i stripped out a wheel and a hub. right now I'm running the stock 14mm's, but now I'm looking to get into a bigger hub size. I'm liking the 23mm's but i dont know exactly what goes into upgrading to the bigger hubs. will they work with stock axles? do i need to do anything besides slap them on the truck and go? what do i need to look for when i order a pair? i realize that I'm going to need new tires, but I'm only running junkers as it is so I'm not to heart broken about it.

even if you just have some general info about new hubs, let me know.

You will need a set of four, the LST 1 and the Aftershock use the same ones as the Maxx and Revo. You will need a set of wheels that use the same size hub , it's very easy to mount everything up.

Or you can buy some aluminum 14mm hexes. The plastic hex starts to round off causing the wheel hub to strip.

i want to move away form the 14's. I'm up to just about anything else.

If you want to continue to run the stock size tires go with the 23mm hexes and hubs. The problem with the stock set up is the tires are the same size as 40's but use a 14mm hub.....Too much tires for the hub IMO.

I ran this set up on an LST, handles great and long lasting.

i say you go with proline's 23 mm hub's, they sell for like $15 bucks. i got some on my revo and when i mess something up on it i swap the wheels and hubs over to the lst, they work bad***

You should consider going to 17mm that way you can use the wheel and tire combos that the truggies use. You also wont get hosed buying the 23mm hex wrench.
