street tires for my mbx very confused

I want to get some street tires for my ultra mbx but not sure which ones to get. On ebay some of them just have widths and heights and I'm not sure how they're measuring. The ones that say 26mm I'm thinking are 1/10 scale?
Also should I go slicks or treaded street tires? I want to do some parking lot running and found out the hard way that really shreds off road tires.

You want to stick to tires made for 1/8th scale buggy wheels. Proline I know make some nice treaded ones. I'm not sure if anyone makes foam tires for 1/8 buggies. I know there are 1/8 size tires/wheels out there but i doubt they have a 17mm hex.

I would stay away from a slick tire, if you find tires on ebay get the brand and size and look it up on tower or some other site like that, then for sure you'll know if they fit.

26mm tires are for 1/10 scale, you need something like this or this hope this helps

Just go to acehardwarehobbies and get the pre-mounted tires and wheels called PMT, I have used Medial Pro, Pro-Line, and these, the PMT are the best

I would suggest a set of proline road rage or some medial pro Rally IAS tires.

thx all!! Unfortunately with my current budget I'll have to wait until 50-60 bucks appears or I find them cheaper on ebay. I have thought of just getting a new set of off road wheels and wearing out my old set on the road.

That's what I'm doing. I just got some new Proline Knuckels and I'm going to wear down my stock tires for onraod.

yup, i'm doing the same thing. my (ex) off-road tires are so worn down they they're pretty much slicks. now i just gotta get a new pair of off-road tires
