Hey, anyone with a street rod, muscle car, or show car? I had, (before I bought a house and a family) a 73' chevy luv with a 350 all decked out, holly 750 double pumper carb. on top of a edelbrock aluminium high rise intake, double hump heads, hooker headers. The tranny was a turbo 400 with a shift kit, and hooking all of this to the ground was a 12 bolt possi. tracktion bars the whole nine yards. It would run the quarter in the low 12's if I set it up for just the strip I'm sure I could have got into the 11's. I won several trophys at a few car shows. How about anyone else, any pics?

Yep, I had a 99 Z28 that ran mid 12s and had a 95 Fleetwood Brougham with LT1 that I was going to fix up but didnt. My old head buddy has a 23 T Bucket with a built to the hilt 454 BB and he also has a I believe a 76 Pinto with a built to the hilt 460 BB. The pinto is something else. It has all aluminum inside, tubbed, chopped and on on on. The motor sticks about 6 to 8 inches abouve the chopped roof and the car itself sits like 44 46 inches from roof to ground. Both are mean machines.

I have a 72 Impala Custom with a 350.. Right now its in the body shop..I rebuilt the motor.. painted everything under the hood it looks amazing.. right now I'm having the rust repaired and the car repainted the same color.. I also have some new wheels for it cragar ss alloys.. they arent on them in the pics because I got the wheels for christmas...

I had a 85 Trans-Am with a 350 Corvette engine with a stage 3 chip aotumatic transmission. That car would haul ass and kick on every shift. Unfortunately someone stole it.

RCJ 399 I love the boat. I had a 73 caprice 2 dr that was just cherry. 350 with 42XXX original miles, no rust, perfect interior, and just clean as a whistle. It was burgandy with a white vinle top. Power everything and man do I miss that car. I had hydraulics on mine, 4 pump, 12 batteries, and 10 switches. I wished I would have waited to put air ride on it because the hydraulics really messed it up. But that is a sweet ride you have bro.

I'm currently in the process of doing some minor restoration on my Meadow Green 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass "S". Great Grandpa bought her in May of 69'. Been in the family ever since.
She has the Rocket 350, mostly stock, yet can still liquify the tires.
Have to do body work (95% of jersey cars have rust) and some minor engine clean-up.

I have a 1970 chevy nova. It is just now getting paint and an interior, but it was all done last year except for that. It ran 11.13@123 with a 100 shot of nitrous and should go into the 10's next year when we use the second stage. I bought the car when I was 14, when it was a 40,000 mile 6 cylinder car and now it will be red and black two tone, 4 1/4 inch cown hood, fiberglass bumbers, 12 point cage, drag stars and pretty much everything on the car is new. Here is a pic of it before the paint

Dude........Lets throw a fiddlesticking party.... :llama:  :jester: :w00t: :mex: :wasted: :dancin:  :breakdown :trashed: He said Nitrous, he didnt say NOS! YES YES YES I'll die happy tonight. Dude....YES...I'm happy, lol

I hate when people call nitrous NOS! Its usually young kids who dont know any better, but when I hear an adult say it it just bugs the poop out of me. lol I'm only 22 so I get to hear it from the younger crowd all of the time.

Ditto on the "NOS" saying, here in Jersey, here it all the time from the damn kid's.

Most used phrase:
Yo dogg imma hook dis lo' rida wit some NOS dogg yo!

i am only 14 but i say Nitrous..since NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide System, so if u wordo it with out the abbr. then it wont sound right...with a shot of nitrous oxide system.no u can say I have NOS in my car..caouse i sounds right..but i hate when people say that........i dont know if this is good but it and decked out but i am getting a 1965 chevy Belvadear for 500 bones and it runs

how about saying he sprays his car? another term would be bottle. This whole stupid NOS thing started w/the fast and the furious trend. Until then anyone who knows anything about cars doesn't say NOS its nitrous damn it!...

Did someone say NOS ????
Here's some plumbing for ya....

I've posted pics of this car before. It was custom built by a friend of mine who builds Pro Mod cars... It started out as a 69 Firebird that was back halfed and tubbed out. A modded 700 Hp engine with 3 stages of Nitrous was dropped in.... This was one Bad Ass car......

I say WAS, because bad track conditions & an over zealous driver sent her into the wall at about 170mph. My friend luckily walked away from it....

damn...spraying like a porn star on viagra. I still dont see how those cars run so fats even with all that HP. Them damn thigns are made of Iron or something, lol.

I believe it's an 1 1/2" Chromoly Tube chassis... Not a heavy car at all.... One of the races I was at, he ran a 7.2 sec in the quarter mile.
I have a vid of the crash somewhere. I'll try to find it...

A bad start and a very competetive racer gets squirly after loosing traction half way down the track, led to very upsetting afternoon....
