They look pretty promising and are a low cost solution (around $65 overall for the kit and the chassis) to make your Slash a LOT more competitive. To me, it's still a little pricey (Around $40, I'd like to see it closer to $30) for just a few aluminum plates, but STRC stuff has never failed me and it looks like they've done some good research into it all and really came up with a solid solution to provide a decent LCG chassis.

Basically you buy the STRC kit and the following...
TRA3722A Lower Chassis for Rustler
TRA3723A Upper Chassis for Rustler
TRA3727A Battery hold down plate

...and you get this....

I've built one using this setup! So far I like it very much. I did the whole Proline thing on as well. Handles well and jumps smooth. I just do not like how wide it is. I am forced to use the Proline wheels to stay legal. I like to have wheel choices . STRC should have included a front alloy battery strap to complete the look. Over all, Pretty good!
 
If I raced more and didnt need the clearance for bashing then Id prolly use this setup as well.
