Well I am, sometimes. Ask Sky about Captain Oblivious, he can tell some tales.

the second was one of my more grotesque landings on top of the tank.
That wouldn't have been this one would it?

As a matter of fact, that was indeed the day and that might have been the landing in question...that day was a freakin' blast. Hopefully, you have found a suitable play ground up there near Useless...something to make my drive up there worth while.

8-0 ouch...that is usually how my maxx looks...I think the undercarriage has seen more daylight than the body...lol Sky would that mod work on the mounts?..I amgonna try an alum this time around hopefully that will save me....8-0

there is not a whole heck of alot here in ct where I can go bash I keep looking for construction sites where noone is working at the time. (I just have a hard time keeping fuel in my tank for some reason)

As I said, my mod has worked with this one exception. An unusually grusome landing directly on the fuel tank. No bushing would have saved my tank. BUT after running almost a year with the mod, to have only one broken tank to show for it through several bash sessions, I'd say the mod works just fine.

As for construction site bashing...just go and ask the guys working the site if they mind you running your RC out of the way. Here the answer is almost always a yes. You might find the same thing to be the case in CT.

I hate to be the devil's advocate here but that was your savage and not the time you blew your tank on your t-maxx.

i was thinking about doing that. they are doing some construction up the street from me and have some MONSTER mounds of dirt that i could just flatten.

Wait, it was your t-maxx but she ran after that. That was the first day I noticed your strange fixation with taking pics of me peeing.

hey before I take off you think it is possible to fixthe mount? kind of a clean break you know have it for an emergency say like when I break the next one?...lol I am goin w/the machined alum this time hopefully that will be stronger. c ya guys later:jet:

That's funny, that is a picture of my T-Maxx on it's lid from the hill climbing day. My Savage was sitting on the curb breaking in the engine.

So advocate away...and I think once again...

The reason I was able to keep running was the spare tank I had in my parts locker. Always good to keep a healthy stash of spare parts.

if I ever get out to really bashing (like avoiding curbs) I gotta bring a camera. should be interesting my bro in law has a maxx to and so does his neighbor.

You'll get your video when I am g'damn good and ready to post it. Besides, been too busy to finish it. You'll have to settle for the ultra-cool video that Error produced.

I wish some aftermaeket company would make a better tank to fit the same spot on the T. The tank is trash if you hit curbs or like to jump big. Even just the slightest chassis felx will crack the tank or at least that's the way it seems. I honestly have gone through over 10 tanks in 7 months. I have tried all kinds of tricks from o-rings to fuel tubbing, using 2, 3 screws trying different spots you name I about tried it. Still looking for a solution and will let you know if I find a solid one. I even bought a Monster Pirate tank to see if I could get it to fit.

go and get the aluminum tank. i dont think that it will break. is a bit more spendy but will save u having to run to ur lhs every day getting a new gas tank.
