strange engine noise....

hi

just broke in my sav 25 (loving this beast!).

and now I'm on to tuning it.

as i gradually lean out the hsn, when i let the car roll after a full throttle run, it sorta splutters and sounds like is lean? (the sorta reving, its hard to explain.)

i have notice other peoples savage's do this but i was just wondering if its somthing i should worry about. (me being paranoid)

The low side may be a little lean.

That does not mean its right.

sputtering after a roll over is common. you may get a air bubble in the fuel line that causes a quick lean spurt. but as ross stated the factorys settings may not be ( and probibly arent) correct. tune it for performance and smoke. and get a temp gun if you dont have one to keep it all in check.

have re tuned it, and it doesn't splutter anymore.

can i expect the engine to be quite hot due to it still being a tad tight? ill richen it up a bit for now even thought there is still a healty amount of smoke.

i did lean it out to see if it would change gear, but i think the gears need adjusting.

did a few low speed jumps with it, and it handles jumps with ease even with all the spacers out of the shocks.
