Stock Maxx Tires

Which are better stock tires.. the 4908 tread or the 4910s.. i think they are talons ? anyhow i can pick either set of 4 with rims for $30. is that good ? i have the 4908 tread now and am prolly gonna need replacement sooner or later and i think it would be nice to have 2 different.. but not if the 4910s are no good or if they wear prematurely.. lemme know. thanks!

I can't really give you any advice on the performance and tread of the tires but I can say that $30 for all 4 mounted with rims is a good deal compared to what I have seen on the net and in LHS's! Generally its about that much for a pair. Are they new or used?

I like the 4908 tires better than the old chevrons. Way more versatile.

If it were me, I'd get the 4908 tread that comes on 'geode' 1/2 inch offset wheels from a new revo. I don't know why, but the ones I have on my embe are the smoothest rolling traxxas tires I've ever seen. They have plenty of grip and are very durable. The 1/2 off wheels make the truck handle awesome too. On top of that I have cracks in all 4 of my 4908 'hurricane' wheels, they suck.

Talon tires are good, mainly on smoother ground, but the sidewalls get bad and fail long before they can wear too much.

It would be worth a few extra bucks to go with a 17mm hub too.
