I agree, they are full of crap. I know that I personally sent requests along with several friends in 2022 and 2023. At least this guy's response was more polite than the one I got.

And if they don't want to make them, and feel there is no value, why don't they give the machine code to someone who will?

Just get me the 3d model and I'll design some fixturing and process to machine them. We got @332_RC here that maybe we could talk into knocking some out for us

If they become high in demand someone might do it. If you wanna undertake it D3MON finding a jato tranny plastic case is real easy online. I’ll email Integy about it, pray they bring it back lol.

once Jennysrc brings them back in stock might try to pick one up. i don't really plan on owning a Jato, and i really don't care for traxxas so not wanting to spend much. also gives me the option to change the mounts to make it fit other vehicles i guess. was a bit surprised, cheapest transmission complete i could find was almost as much as a full car. i wouldn't want to only get the case halves id want at least the gears and shafts to be sure everything meshes as it should.

Guess it's time to buy an oem one and try some casting sands out. Cast aluminum doesn't look too hard.

It would still need machining afterwards though is the problem. And getting the bearing journals in precisely the right spot for gear mesh would be pretty hard without a CMM to measure the locations.

Y'all think we should still try and get 50+ people for consideration? I could make a new thread about it and if we get enough I’ll send it back to Integy. Custom cases sound amazing but we could possibly get enough for them to consider manufacturing as well.

Names and lists are ok but I think its gonna come down to cold hard cash. Its just my guess from what Integy said.
If you really want this gear case, give it a shot!
If you get a bunch of ppl and some orders... who knows what will happen!?
