Ok my friend is trying to tell me that my savage ss isnt stock because it isnt a savage 21. If your car is stock it is what comes with it right? Plese tell me this so i will know if my truck is stock or not
Doug

As far as I'm concerned, if it comes in the box from the manufacturer its stock. A different model, but still stock.

Its like buying a 1:1 car with a different trim package. For example, (I'm making these up) you may have a GX, LX, SL, and SLX. They are ALL stock but they have different trim levels and come with different equipment. the GX might be manual everything with a 5 speed and a 4cyl engine. Whereas the SLX might be power everything with leather and a v8. They would ALL be considered "stock".

I can only assume that your buddy has a "stock" savage 21 (the old model) and he's scared of your "stock" SS because of the improvements.

Just tell him that yours is a stock Savage SS, and if he cries BS, give him this website www.hpiracing.com so he can check himself.

He is just jealous, yes the SS is stock, at least until you add aftermarket parts, lol. Just like Robriquez mentioned, its just as if you have a Camaro, Camaro SS, Camaro RS, all still camaros, all stock.

lol stock is where you take a car andleave it be. IE.... If you have a car and you did touch it with any hop-ups then it is stock
error.. Nope he has a t-maxx that is why he is saying mine isnt stock. He thinks his t-maxx is the best this is my i want to be him so he will quit being so darn cocky. I have to show this t-maxx owner what is up.
Doug

ps thanks for your reply. i will have to show him these post you guys posted

Doug, that was my second guess. Your SS will eat his stock Maxx alive, chew on it some, spit it out, and then dow some doughnuts on it.

I don't think it's possible to own a stock Maxx for very long.

...unless you don't drive it.

Determining what makes a "Stock" RC is difficult when you build a Kit. In your instance It should be what ever came in the box and the factory recommended additions.

In a kit that has no engine included here is no such thing as stock.

Yes Eddy, but the SS does come with an engine, no servos or receiver though.

wdavidhicks, you are 100% right on that, no T stays stock for long, unless you don't use it as you mentioned. I have three and even the one least modded one is still far from stock.

I only wish the Savage had been around when I started this mt madness, I do indeed plan on adding one to the collection though.
