today i broke my right front bulk head and god its takes forever just to raplace them and the screws that come with it are so week that my srewdriver stripped them and now the screw wont be able to come out ANY RECOMENDATIONS?

yesthey do suck i recently snapped both of my fronts mine clean off so my frnt end was just hanging from the trunbuckles as fr getin the stripped screw out you could grinda slot in it with a dremel but then you would prb hve to grind into your chassis also or you could try one of them screw out things that you can pick up at sears

yeah thats what i did i used a dremel but then i put more screws and the stripped again its like damn these stock parts suck but aluminum is so damn expensive

Invest in a tap/thread kit. Hobbico makes a good set that will be just the handle and the size bit you need. Thread them first before you put the screws in. This is if you decide to continue to run stock. Once I started threading my plastic parts life was good again. ESPECIALLY the bulks.

True, but if they hold up for the life of the truck it's worth it.

I have tweaked Traxxas factory hopup alum bulkheads but that was with alum arms. I have RPM arms anchored to these bulks. I'm hoping I've found my rock-solid combination.

True. I've been running the ACNCM for about 3 months now with the RPM arms as well on a 21 converted maxx. I havn't had any real issues as of yet with bending.

Although, my hingepin holes are getting sloppy. I'll probably drill a hole in them and put a set screw in so that it pivots on the arm instea of the bulkhead.

Don't rc-solutions already do this as well? I got the idea from somewhere where the manufacture them that way.

Yep. Each bulkhead half has two grub screws to anchor the pin. No more flying e-clips.

I run Hardcore Racing bulkheads on my T-Maxx. Are they pricey? Yes, but well worth it.

If you set up right and spend money on the right things, you will have a great ride for (as wdavidhicks put it) the life of the truck.

I do have the RC Solutions/RPM combo. Yeah the RC Solutions Bulks are pricey, but IMO well worth it. They also come with hardened steel hinge pins. They claim they are so hard that they can not be notched for e-clips.

You can get pins (maybe not the RC Solutions set) separately. I purchased a couple of replacement titanium sets back when I was loading up on spare parts and worried about breakage. I still have the spares. Titanium pins are great...haven't hurt one yet.

I got a stainless steel set with my ACNCM bulks.

Hit a telephone pole at WOT and didn't bend a pin. Broke a shock and a bumper mount bolt, but didn't bend the pins.

You are very lucky. Stainless is much softer than most steel that is used.
