This is totally nutz. I have an OS .12CV in my RC10GT and it has been leaking some yellowish looking oil from the crank down the inside of the flywheel (and onto my bench) for like a month already. Since when do these tiny engines have enough of anything in them to leak for a month? Anyone have any idea what this stuff is?
This all started after I blew my differential about a month ago. I was geard for running on concrete (18T Clutch Bell/66 Spur) and I put big Masher 200 tires on it and when dirt bashing. My bad. Anyway the engine had a couple of major hi-revs till I realized there was no power transfer anymore. I broke the whole truck down, and rebult it on a team-size chassis (it was the older RTR with the .25 inch shorter chassis) with a brand new transmission.
Its been rainining here almost continuously for a month now and I haven't run the truck yet since I rebuilt it but is just keep son leaking? Did I blow a bearing or something? Can I replace these bearings if I Blew them? Is it time for a new engine?
Please help,
EB
