OK I have been driving the Maxx and come to belive that the steering in not fast enough. I took out the stock servo and replaced it with a z550 and it turned quick but then it became slow recently. SO I changed it out for a 645MG servo with a kimbrough servo saver. STILL SUCKS!! Is there some places that I need to check for binding? I have the aluminum servo linkage with bearings. do you think that the telescoping universals could be the problem? I am going to change out the arms with RPM ones but also was looking to upgrade the knuckles to RPM. I heard those were a big improvement. You get to put bigger bearings on those. I am going to put CDV's as well. I just want to be able to steering at the speeds that I am able to go with now I have the Sirio 23.

Help!!

If you have done any adjustment to the camber on your wheels, there's the possibility that you tightened the cups too much. It's also a place that gets wet, and doesn't dry well, so it might be a little rust collecting on the balls. Through the wheel spokes, back them off a hair. You might want to take them completely out, clean them and put a smear of grease on them.
Having them too tight puts a real load on the steering servo, and also makes the suspension sluggish.

good point but I have yet to change any settings. still stock. I am going to add Titanium rods and new bearings as well but not till the new arms get replaced. Funny thing is that it is only on the right side if you are looikng at it from the top. and stnding behind it

I'd pull the cups if I had that problem. Pull the wheel off, remove the cups with an allen key, and look at the metal balls. They are probably pretty nasty looking. Just give them a quick wipe, then clean the cups and apply a thin smear of grease. The metal balls have a smaller allen adjustment that allows you to adjust the camber, but you need to do that through the spokes with the wheels on so you can eyeball it.
When you put the cups back, snug them, then back them off a hair. That adjustment also takes play out of the wheels.
Both sides won't even take 15 minutes, and it will save your servo and make your steering more responsive, as well as the suspension.
