just wondering what Steering Servos you are using on your savage, id like to compare the one I have with others and know if it was a good choice or not (overkill).

i have the HiTech HS-5645MG Digital Ultra Torque
Specs:
Operation Speed: .23Sec/60d at 4.8V ([email protected])
Output torque: 10.3kg.cm(143.03oz.in)at 4.8V (12.1KG.cm @6.0V)

Nothing much installed on my savage to make it Heavier except the RC solutions Roll cage. Also i mostly use my savage to bash, but sometimes race with it..

Thanks.

i think you made an excellent choice
nothing is overkill if you can afford it ,why take the risk of buying a crappy servo when you question its power or durability ,that servo will work awsume IMO

I was going to buy just that servo but the LHS didn't have anymore in stock so I got the 945MG and man am I happy I did. sure I had to brown bag it to work for a week or two but it was well worth it.

I'm running the 5645 in my Savage for steering and it works great. It was only a slight improvement over the 645 but that servo was a powerhouse to begin with.
