steering servo

what size servo will i need to get better steering responce, accually be able to steer the wheels without the truck moving , i found a one thats high torque for 6kg, 211 oz, will this be ok?

200oz is plenty good for a Maxx.

good to hear, i had another look and it never said its high torque accually, just says metal gear, 6kg, whats the metal gear about, in internals?

Metal gear servos hold up much better than plastic geared servos. Hitec makes some nice servos. Check 'em out.

I have Hitec 645MG($35cad @ LHS), it's a metal gear and has 133oztrq at 6 v it can turm my wheels at when not moving. I all so have a rx hump pack which i found made the stock traxxas servo turn the wheels when stopped but went though 2 of them. So 200oz should turn with ease

The 645 is about the smallest you should go for steering. They're great for t/b.

thats the one i am looking to get, dont want anything to good, just better power and responce than stock, and cheap.
also going to get a hump pack to power this, aswell as removing the reverse servo
