I want to upgrade my steering servo, and I found the Cirus cs-80 at the Little Shop of Hobbies site for $22.99. I know everyone raves about the Hitec 5645 MG, but has anyone had any experience with the Cirus?

In the writeup, they claim 129.86 oz of torque, and .029 sec/60 degrees.

Well Cirrus overrates there servos first. Second I highly reccomend you stay away from little shop of hobbies because they have some poor shiiping pratices. If you want a cirrus go to hobbypeople.net.

Here is the deal everyone including Ed is gonna say HELL NO except for retread who swears buy them.. Ed tested multiple Cirrus servos for his LHS and none of them would center. This is all documented if you search for them here. If you want the hitec go to www.servocity.com and they are less than 40 shipped FREE... I reccomend that anyday over dealing with little shop of hobbies. X

Thanks X. I haven't dealt with L.S.H., but will take your word for it. I searched for anything regarding Cirrus servos on here, and didn't find anything, maybe I speeled it wrong. Thanks for the info, I think I'll go for the Hitec. For the price of the Cirus, it seems too good to be true.

I like the HiTec myself. You can go with the 645 or the 5645mg (digital). I like them both! And for the price you can't go wrong!

I have the Hitech 645MG and have no complaimts what so ever. Lots of torque and takes a beating. Plus, they're only about $40.00 at Servocity with no shipping charge.

Thanks Mcvickj, actually X 789 set me straight a couple of days before Ed had his way with that servo. I was thinking of sending him a 6" vise and a 4 foot piece of pipe and see what he could do. Maybe that will work better than his hammer, and save him a workbench.

That would be cool to see. Come on Eddy don't disappoint us. Maybe you could attach a small package of fireworks (like an M80) attached to it while driving it :)
