Is there a servo saver out there that is known to be the best one? I was at the track last night and went through the stock servo saver and a kimbrough one, they were stripping out the teeth of the big arm where the little gear that sits on top of the servo goes into. Also, are there certain settings that these things require or a way to set them? That proline steering setup, does it eliminate the need for it? thanks,
Jared Williamson

Unlimited Engineering make a real nice one, but it is quite expensive. Pro line also makes one that works very well, but at a fraction of the cost. Both of these set ups will let you remove the servo saver that is mounted to the servo.

Yes, i do have one for sale. It is the Unlimited Engineering one. All metal constructiom, very precise. PM me or look in the for sale forum if you are interested.

Hey Jared Smiley is right the Proline one is about 35 bucks at SE but RC10 has one for sale 50 bucks for the UE version.....VERY nice peice....pretty much anything has UE on it is Nuke Proof....hey how did ya lik ethat scramble to get it built last nite???LOL thanks again man your bro was a big help....and kept me from jumping the gun on 2 things...good eye...

------------EDIT-----------------

You must have 100 posts and 90 days as a member to post items for sale. Please do not try to skate around the rules posting items for sale in others threads. I have deleted your for sale part of this post. Thank you...

Sorry can't post in the for sale thread yet--I'm a good man as I have 2500 post over on the UE board

Hey I'm selling a thunder chassis, VBS system and Racer X suspension cheaper than he is if anyone wants them contact me first even though he posted before me........
dude I had to make the point....if you're posting stuff to sell after someone else was speaking to another member aboutit already...that just seems like it was done in poor taste..... I just think there should be some form of ettiquette on a forum when it comes to underselling someone.....not trying to be a total ass (maybe a little) just making a point......

I was just posting for the Servo saver--didnt see anything else about the other stuff.

Didnt know you were selling all that too?? I was just trying to help out any other maxx owner on this board since I can't post in the BST yet--thats all--- My bad
vbs sold

Your under 100 posts and shouldn't be posting anything for sale, in or out of the bst forum

Another servo saver question

the post below kinda got off track and didn't answer the question well, but with the kimbrough servo saver, is there any particular way that it has to be set up to work properly or is it just bolt it on there and go? I went through 2 savers on my last outing, I don't want to keep the trend going...

The only thing you have to be sure of is that you use the correct spline adapter for the brand of servo you are using.

However you don't need two threads on the exact same subject, so I have merged them.

ok cool, last weekend I bought a nice new 645mg servo and added a few other upgrades to the truck, go to the track to try it all out, and go through 2 servo savers in not even 2 laps. That will just kill your day...

Sounds to me like you used the wrong spline adapter. I had used Kimbroughs on my maxx for a long time and never had one go bad. I did however use the wrong spline adapter the first time I ever got one, and stripped it out quickly.

alright, it comes with 3 spline adapters, and I just looked them over, saw 1 that LOOKED like it worked the best, the fit seemed good, and I threw away the other 2 (I know, mistake). This time I will use a little more care and attention, thanks a lot

It should be a very snug fit. Save you other servo savers, most likely it's just the spline adapter thats bad, you can save the saver itself as a back up.
