Hi!!! i wanna change my steering servo with one that as more speed and torque, any idea. Cuz there is too much to choose from, plus i dont know squat about analog/digital(dont know wich one to get with my stock tx(HPI TF-3). And i heard that i can replace the throttle/brake one with the sf-2 that I'm gonna take off, by replacing it by another faster/stronger one. THANKS

You can find decent (much better than stock) servos starting at $40.00 going up to more than most are willing to pay...How much are you willing to spend on a servo?

Do you have the CAM TYPE Servo Saver? If not get that upgrade as well as the bearings for it!

Servo wise, I like the JR 650M.. 142 oz of torque at 6V with a transit time of .17 I think.. If you want a better servo than that.. then get an Airtronics 94358Z..200OZ of torqute at 6V and the transit time is .10

Hope this helps..

The JR is what I just bought for my truck, only $32 at my lhs.

That's the one, but jon2 is the one that suggested it. The bearings are ones that replace the plastic bushings in the kit, I don't know the correct size. I'm still using the plastic stuff.

I've always heard the SF-2 is good for the throttle/brake, don't know personally but I'm getting ready to find out.

 Thank you very much for the info, when you find out...please let me know. Sorry about the mistake. THANKS jon2

I'm a cheap sob so I run the Jr z650m, they are great servos for that price range. I had the Airtronics 94358Z in my 3.3 Revo...It's a beast! I was used to the slower servos, it took a little getting used to LOL

Sorry to be annoying...do you have a link for it please. Dont know what JR means!!

The hitec 645MG is an ok servo, but the 5645MG is better if you feel like paying for it.

Oh, you said max is $100. I went with the hitec 985MG. It's a pretty decent servo for $70. Reasonably fast and strong (.13 sec/172oz @ 6V).

I mentioned that one up above earlier as well.

Sorry old, its just that I'm so lost in those kind of things, but thank you very much.

Not a problem. I always had issues with a lot of things. It takes time and some trial and error to find what works best for you. A lot of guys have been happy with the 645MG for steering the savages, maxx's and revo's. I like more than the 645MG has as far as speed and torque are concerned.

The extra bonus with the 985 is that it's sealed with o-rings everywhere.

Thanks Old!!! and for the cam type servo saver: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=OFNC1834&P=7, it fits the savage x even if its writen this:
