Every once in a while my fuel tank gets filled with steam. Is that a bad sign. Should i be worried or is it commen?

Most likely thats not steam, its smoke, like the smoke that comes out the exhaust. The tank is pressure fed from the pipe, this can also push exhaust smoke back in to the tank.

You have nothing to worry about. It is actually smoke not steam. The smoke comes from your exhaust pipe which actually presurises your fuel system. Very common, nothing to worry about.

poop you beat me to it NCNitro.

It's only a little bit of smoke. If it was going into a 2 liter bottle, you may notice it being blue. It's just smoke, don't worry about it. All Nitro RC's with a pressurized tank do it. And actually, I don't think it's smoke, it think it's very fine oil vapor... At least I think that's what comes out of the pipe. It's actually the oil coming out in a fine mist with a little smoke from the oil burning.
