Standard to Short Shaft conversion

Can someone give me a quick walkthrough on how to convert a standard size crack shaft to a short shaft? I have a HPI t15 and guessing all I need to do is cut the thing, but I’m worried how precise I have to be and if there is anything else I need to know.

If you have an SG type shaft, the clutch set up is different.

BTW the parts I gave you allow you to use either SG shaft or the Threaded type crank.
