like it says I'm looking to make a roll cage for my stampede. not sure how to do it. any ideas would really help. trying to make it out of a plastic type thing. any step by step ideas. its the nitro stampede with the old .15 in it. i know old but its gonna get hopped up.

you relize this is the Tmaxx section right?

Anyway, just curious as to why to make one instead of buying one? Also plastic? You planning to cut tuppaware up and hot gluing it or what?? lol.. (Just yankin your chain, but still... Plastic?)

easier to remake, plastic absorbs and doesn't bend, and cheap, why spend 100 buck when you can make one.

i dont have any pics since its still in the mail, heres one i took from the site. sept the exhaust is the right way.

I moved it to the right place for ya.

Did you consider using carbon fiber??
You might be able to cut an arch out of a sheet.
I think a sheet might be pricey, but worth it for the strength.

not sure, where would ya get it, do they make bars for it, big question how to do it, i may figure it out. just drill some holes in the chassiss and make two round bars going front to back and some bars going across about every two inches.

No, It was for Tmaxx's, thats why its the "Tmaxx" forum.

What kind of plastic are you thinking about using? Also how do ya plan to mount it? Drill some holes and mount it on, I know but plastic rips, and I wouldnt think of it lasting very long. Unless I'm thinking of a different plastic you are..

I just looked on flebay for you.
Only found 2mm.
I don't think thats thick enough.

thanks, do you have a link, I'm trying to get a picture in my head. not sure what to look under

You can get delrin sheets/rods/cubes... at www.mcmaster.com.

A couple well placed delrin rods from corner to corner on the chassis forming an arc with some delrin rods running cross ways (like skips on his savage) would probably do the trick. Kind of make it like a turtle though... It would be more of a no-body cage.
