I installed hpi's super heavy duty drive set into my savy x and it has been squeaking like crazy. Not that its a really big deal but are there supposed to be rubber o-rings in ALL the drive cups? I have them in the diff drive cups. Maybe it will go way once its worn in a little.

I think its pretty normal. My Savage always did it along with me rc18, and I notice it all the time when watching videos on youtube. Never paid much attention to it. I don't know if its bad.

Ya thats what i was wondering if it was bad for it or not! I can hear it over the motor and it gets really anoying! Oh well...Bash Away!

lol you don't do maintenance? i change it every time i inspect and do my diffs .. haven't had a problem yet

i am not knocking his suggestion i am just saying that's what i use as i have cases of it from work. i change it often its also very cheep to buy. i bet "powdered graphite" is expensive. where would you even look for it?

I use something similar to what Olds does. It is a Yamaha dirt bike dry chain lube. I spray it on...it dries in a minute or so then has great lasting properties and does not attract dirt either. My only problem with grease is i don't always have a ton of time to clean and rebuild so a dry lube is easier and less maint for me.
