Anyone have any pics on their spur gear / carburetor area? I believe my chassis is bent and want to see how far the gap should be... right now I have a hole in my carb and air filter from my spur gear... Thanks for any help

What size spur gear do you have?It sounds like your spur gear might be to big.On revo's it should only be 36,38,or40 tooth.

Ohh no it's a 38T. Something major is pooched. I'll get some pictures tomorrow if I can of how bad it is.

Mine did the same thing... Its the chassis. Its bent...

It might look like you have about 1mm of space but with a bit of flex, the already bent chassis allows even a 38T Spur to rub.

I was going to get a new chassis but decide to improvise. I jammed a little washer between the chassis and the engine mount to prop it up just a bit. One at each of the engine mount screws on the CB side only... It might not sound good, but its working great with NO problems. Lots of space now, and no more rubbing.

Might not sounds good? I was just about to give that a try so I could run tomorrow before my new chassis from ebay shows up :D But really, that is exactly what I was wanting to hear.

New chassis, spur gear and clutch shoes/spring, drive axles, tie and push rods, wing and mount, bumpers, and air filter are all ordered dirt cheap off ebay (thanks for the tip). Center diff and rear brake are still to arrive at LHS, so I'll post a update when those come in. Sway bar kit (front at least) has been installed, and wow what a difference! Ability to drive the hell out of it on road is really cool, adjusting it to get the perfect amount of grip on a track is still a work in progress :hehe:
