Is the spring around the pipe (that holds it to the engine) Is it removable to so i can remove the pipe to clean but then be put back on? Or will it stretch out the spring?

Thanks

-Mark

PS: Can you tell I'm new?

I take mine on and off without an issue. Once it went flying during a massive cart-wheel but that is a story for another time. You can get replacements online and from your LHS.

BTW--You ARE NOT new. I have seen you around!

Sweet ill remove it then. I'm not new here I'm new to RC. Someone gave me theirs brand new he said it didn't work and all it ended up needing was a flywheel and a new glow plug and she fired right up.

Thanks

-Mark

Just an FYI, they make a handy little hook tool just for header springs:

It's hard and doesn't give, plus it gives you greater control over how much pressure you apply to the spring so you don't stretch it out.

I actually just use something similar from a pick set I bought at the hardware store. However, it's a bit fatter and shorter than the ones made for it, so it isn't as user friendly. The one I have is simiar to the hook pick in this set:

Works, but not as well.

Ohh that spring, I thought he was talking about the mounting one. Hooks make it very easy. I broke a spring using just my screwdriver, and buying a hook makes it nearly impossible to break.
