thinking of putting a spool in the rear dif and disconnecting the front drive shafts . all that i do know is that it will shorten the turning radis. when i bash i mostly do drag race runs. is a spool hard to do? what think?

i think it would make the turning radius longer because the differential wonts unlock

It will make the truck "push" really bad in corners but the spool is easy to do and reversible

I like the spool in my Savage. They are easily installed/removed. It will be tougher on the diff gears and drive shafts. I recommend you try it for yourself, some like them others hate them.

to: welchdennis63 iam thinking that the extra gears will take up power that should be going the the rear tires. also i dont have money to go in to drag only car. iam thinking about setting up the suspension like a drag car. sounds kind of odd to set up a 4 x 4 like a drag car. there i go again thinking out side the box. thanks to all for the input you guys gave me, thank you

man i didnt research dif grease. i allways like thick oil/grease. in the t-maxx parts list book they list 5 diff thickness. is the 500k weight the thickest? i think i just bought some 100k last nite online, my hobby shop only had HPI racing " heavy weight grease #30000/ gear diff" z164 where does this fall compaired to the traxxas greases? the HPI site is way to hard to nevagate. the HPI grease was only $3.00 for 6 g, it looks like enough to do a dif
