Spinning spur while at idle

OK R/C gods, help me to keep my spur from spinning while my T-Maxx is at idle. As far as I know, it has always done this and I'm not even sure if it's a problem. Here is my setup:

OS .15 CVX
Traxxas 18T CB
MIP shoes & clutch spring
Shoes in leading-edge configuration.
72T stock spur

LSN is set to stall after the fuel line is pinched for 3 to 4 seconds.
Idle is set so it dosen't stall, but dosen't want to buck forward.

It just seems that the clutch is engaged at too low of an RPM.
Any ideas???

Oh, and if it helps any, I plan on upgrading to an RRP DD Slipper 72T.
 
losen the slipper if that doesn't work I would think you clucth is sticking and kinda engaged.
 
Slipper setting dosen't affect it at all.
The CB spins freely when the engine isn't running.

Can't figure it out yet.
 
Ok see if I have this right.
Truck is running,
Clutch is engaging,
Spurr is spinning,
Truck isn't jerking .

Take a stick and carefully touch it to your spurr. Does it quit spinning? If so its just "Friction Spin" and isn't a big issue.

If it doesn't stop spinning, its coming from the clutch or bell and we will need to trouble shoot that.
 
Eddy, I was going to do that, but was going to use my finger!! :doh:

Too bad it's raining out here. Can't do any tuning today, and I'm dying to try out the FOC!!!

Looks like you've been playing with those Oregon ground hogs Eddy!

Its normal for the bell and the slipper to spin. Like Ed said, friction spin. If its at HIGH speed, then no, dont use your finger, otherwise go ahead. Just dont try to hold it down if you get that much resistance. If you use a stick, dont pokey the eye out.
 
Just one question? Do you already have the FOC in it? If so, the spur shouldn't spin. But if not, Chris and Eddy are right in that it can do that.
 
Naw Candyman, it did this before the FOC install. It's been raining out here so I don't know if it will do it with the FOC. Hopefully I'll know soon.
 
OK fellas, I have an update.
The FOC solved the problem. It was all friction spin. :thumbup:
