what are the options you guys would buy to make your t maxx fast? here is mine-.21 max picco-U.E. towers, foc conv. stock assembly(servos tank etc.) stock tires/rims.i havent quite got my engine tuned right but its power!lookin to spend maybe 300$ more to make this thing sick!!!! figure price of new ride----so i want to just invest. speed!!!! FREAK. when the neighbors see it they say W.T.F.???????????????

Theres always the .26max engine...

Assuming you just want it to be balls out FAST, I'd go lightweight on everything. Smaller wheels with taller gears for sure. All that rotating mass slows you down and the width of those tires creates a ton of friction. Taller gears will compensate for the loss of tire height. On mine I have Ofna buggy wheels with the hub adapters fron the same buggy. They fit the axles of the tmaxx perfectly.

The biggest thing you can do to make it faster is to remove all the front drive components. The reduction in driveline drag and weight is huge. I see you already did a forward only conversion to the trans. Put a spool in the rear dif to allow it to hook up.

I lightened my maxx and did some engine mods. It flies even with the old .15, but the fiddlin with the engine made it impossible to tune, but you dont have that problem.

Sorry, I didn't spend your budget, but I don't think you need to spend a lot. Really, you only ned to take stuff off of it. I also moved stuff around to make it better balanced. Check out my maxx here: https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61382&page=2

I have the stock ratio still, I figure it'd be best to get it running reliably first. I think I just need to figure out how to keep bubbles out of the fuel line.

As far as a video goes, you're welcome to video it and post it up, but frankly I lack the equipment and time. I'll say that it has looped while shifting into second, soif that gives you an idea of what a .15 will do with light weight, you can imagine what your .21 would do in that!

I would love to put a .26 in it, but I just don't feel like putting any real money into it. Maybe if one comes along for cheap, otherwise I have a .60 helo engine that I could use if I build a new chassis plate and whatnot.

Thanks for the compliment, by the way.;)
