The cheapest one that works with your transmitter and has however many channels you want/need? Basically 2ch is enough for a sport, but a third would be nice if you want to add a 2 speed or a winch in the future. Or 4ch if both. If that is something your transmitter supports.

And it's Spektrum, not Spectrum 🥸

Why Spektrum out of curiosity?? There's alot of recivers you can use. Is your sport completely stock? Is this your only RC? Or do you have multiple ones? There's alot of questions to ask your self when it come to the electronics of your RC. The sport needs 2 channels. But like @nino Said if you plan on or want to run any lights, winch or anything else you will need one with more channels. But if your running stock Transmitter thats just a 2 channel.

A winch would be nice in the future so I’m thinking a 3 channel would be perfect.

Haha didn’t even notice I spelt it wrong

Only reason I’m saying spektrum is because I bought a DX5 pro for a Losi 5t two years ago and it’s been sitting on my selves since. Never got the 5t because I got an Xmaxx instead.
I would just grab a Flysky GT3B or GT5 and be done with it.
I have a DX5 pro just collecting dust on my self. Only reason I’m considering it lol

Spektrum SR315 or SR515 depending how many channels you want. Both use DSMR technology which I believe is what the DX5Pro uses. Both are in the $50 to $60 dollar range.

For a little bit more money you could buy a new radio that uses far less expensive receivers. Lately I'm becoming less enchanted with Spektrum radios, just don't feel like the quality is equal to the price tag.

I understand the wanting to use what you've already got though.

If the DX5 Pro is NIB or like new, imo youd be better off selling the DX5 Pro and getting a FlySky Noble NB4 and a few receivers with the funds instead. The receivers cost about the same, but are way higher quality, and the Noble has way better build quality and features.

I totally get it. But if it's sat for this long. Honestly I would sell it and get the Flysky. I have a futaba 3PM MX 4 channel. A few traxxas and a kyosho transmitter. And I went out and got the flysky for a cheaper radio it's top shelf man. And it's got 10 car memory. The recivers you can get (4) of them for 30 - 40 bucks. And they run lipo no more changing batteries... I personally I'm not a fan of spektrum or traxxas electronics... they both are 😝😝 in my own Opinion....

Listen to what everybody is saying. It's not worth getting an overpriced, mediocre radio just because you have an overpriced, ok receiver. Get a time proven Flysky radio + 1 receiver for less than $45. You can program up to 10 different rc models onto this radio just by adding additional $10 receivers.
Just do the math 😉

He already has the radio, and needs a receiver. If it were me, I would sell the Spektrum radio and buy the Flysky. Use any extra money to buy hopups.

I would sell it also. Like I said above I got a 400$ futaba and Mayne 5 or 6 other guns. I got the flysky a month or so ago. I hate that it's been so cold. Haven't really ran with it besides in backyard and in the shop. But I love it

Sounds like I might be looking for a new radio! Thank you guys for the comments and looking out for me. That spectrum radio has never been paired to a receiver or used! Maybe I could flip it for a little cash.

Oops, my bad. Regardless, my post is still relevant 😉

Ok, going to get me another beer!🤣

I am not a Specktrum fan, but the no antenna SR2100 could be an option;

Good but not cheap...
My son has one in his buggy.

You don't have to look far bud Flysky gt3-b or C. Or you can go with the 4 or 6 channel.. all four are spot on radio's👍👍

For crawlers, I use the Flysky GT5. It has 6 channels, lots of features, like 4 wheel steering settings at the push of a button, you can control lights, winches, etc.

Is there much of a market to sell new unwanted/ unused radios?? Seems there are more RTR’s, than rollers or kits….
