Specktrum RX Question

I am trying to reattach an antenna lead on one of my Spektrum RX's (SR3000). I am having difficulty getting the solder to actually "hold" the lead to the circuit board.

I opened one of my others and it appears as if Spektrum uses some sort of epoxy or glue to hold the lead to the circuit board.

So, my question is, is there a specific type of glue or epoxy that is designed for this purpose or am I able to use traditional CA? My fear is that CA or another epoxy will eat through the circuit board.

Send it to Horizon, they should take care of it for ya.

Yea I would get a reeplacement.

Now, when I ran the circuit board shop we would load up the connector with two part epoxy....any two part will do......if it was a bear to get soldered. Just make sure you have a good contact before you apply the goop.


But I am with Jet here ....get the horizon folks to do thier thing.....I have had great luck getting replacements from them. JR servos , radio gear that went bad, you name it.

Oh, I know Horizon does a fantastic job. Just hoping to have a spare for the races this weekend (that, and to save some money on shipping, etc.)

I'll probably just end up shipping it out and grab one from a different rig I have to take, just in case.

I am sending my Spektrum set up for my M8.They are quoting me 7-10 days turn around. I need the firmware upgrade. Pretty lame. but they are saying it will be more than likely free.
