There is over $1900 in just truck parts alone so how do you figure the truck is a rip off. Have you ever considered there are two groups of people in the RC world. Those who are fanatic racers and those who are fanatic after market builders/purchasers. Any way you look at it we are all fanatics or we would not be doing RC. I have been racing and building RC for 35 years and have a mechanical engineering degree and a complete machine shop to top it off. When I did race competitively it was all plastic. Plastic trucks are faster and lighter than the mid range after market builds and I know this, you know this. No where in my ads do I say that my aftermarket truck is faster than plastic. The reason I use alloys rather than plastic is I build trucks for the people who appreciate the building and not the racing or driving part of the hobby. They prefer the aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber. They prefer the super-chargers and all the other bling bling. Many of the people who buy my builds usually do not drive them at all. I have one guy back east that has purchased 10 of my builds and never fired one of them up. Unfortunately you guy's do not get to see the high end builds that I produce as they never make it to Ebay. Only the mid range aftermarket trucks are sold on Ebay. The trucks I build with UE and HC parts would blow your mind but way to expensive to list on Ebay.

Anyway I realize you are a racer fanatic and realize because of this that you see my builds as ridiculous but please keep in mind there are those people out there that just want to buy a truck because of the bling. The bottom line is that you and I love RC and that is what counts.

Another genius insight...

LMFAO..Thats the email he sent me...lol...

One of the funnier points of the auction; notice how he claims $2500 in parts at retail? Heck, I know better than anyone... LHS markup on parts is cost + 35%. That's LHS. Now, mailorder is closer to cost + %15, since the middleman is cut out. Figure half that cost, plus 35% (at the most), he spent between $1625 and $2175.

That's goin by his listing...

Now, the truth of the matter.

Stock Savage; $475-ish.
Air intake; about $45
Junk exhaust; about $65
Misc parts; about $150

Total cost; around $750 (loosely figured).

I bet this guy could sell wings to penguins.

seems to me some people caught onto this particular item pretty quick. I don't think he could sell candy to a kid in a candy store to be blunt.

He sure is trying mighty hard to appease all the people who are questioning him now. the only time I usually try to justifiy my actions are when I pretty much know I did something wrong...

I truly think hes doing what he thinks is a good thing. The only problem is, he doesn't know jack about what makes a good RC.

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there creaming their pants over this RC wishing they had the money to get it.

Aren't you glad you belong to RCNT?
It could be you!
Knowledge is power.

I agree, 2 yrs ago I would have thought this has to be the tuffest truck around lol. I'm so luck/happy to have found this forum lmao. I remember I almost bought a megatech buggy on ebay that they claimed it would do 75 mph. I'm glad I decided to do some research before spending my hard earned money on junk. I feel for who every end up with it unless all they want is a really nice display/show truck

He told me he raced Rc's for over 12 years. And was a engineer for 35 years. Them two right there should be enough to tell ya that a super charger is a gimmick and also that a exhaust needs back pressure, not some bent tubing. He knows what hes doing. Otherwise he wouldnt take a so called "Loss" everytime he builds one of his "Masterpieces". Says he has $2500 into it, but sets the reserve for $1650?? Makes no sense.
But yeah I TOTALLY agree that Rcnt has saved my ass a few times. Zandor and Olds alone had saved me Hundreds of dollars when I built my Maxx.

Funny thing is that you can actually see his feedback and see that he gets all his "upgrades" on ebay...

Skid plates, that crappy exhaust, air filters etc.

That thing must run like a Tyco!

Check out the air filter on this one....one jump and that thing is gonna drop faster than a blond on prom night!

hahahahaha! Hilarious!

that thing reminds me of a Whale... Ya know, the kind that feeds on krill.

He also listed a couple of things twice in the long and annoying to read list of crap he put on it. He listed the braided fuel lines twice but worded them a little differently. Also listed radio/servos twice.

lmfao ..... what the HELL is that thing in front LOL it looks like a crumb brush

You know, I can get that filter from the auto-parts store for about $1.50.

The "winner" fo that bid is gonna be pissed when that thing crumblies into an expensive soda can.

That thing wouldn't hold one tenth of the hell me and beason do to our savages.

And... did anyone else mention that plastic is MUCH more cheap than aluminum?

I can just see 3 or 4 dudes in orange vests driving those "masterpieces" around in a construction zone packing the fresh asphalt instead of the steam rollers..."Hey, Darryl, watch out for the cone..."

If you go back and look at all the custom builds he has sold on ebay what is the one common thing (PART) that is the first things WE would change on a RC? Even if you drop all these bones you would still be stuck with cheap radio lol

Omg that filter is a filter for a Lawn mower..lol.. I swear to god we have the EXACT same one on one of our push mowers.. Good lord.. Its funny because its fricken paper. Go thru a puddle and the thing will turn to paper machay.. I bet it will let ALOT of air thru then..lol.. This dude sucks..lol.

That is too funny. Those so called ram air/cold air intakes dont help at all they just make it that more difficult to tune. I know from exsperiance I had a "cold air intake" on my T-Maxx and all it did was cause problems and made no difference in performance. I think it actully ran better with the stock one on it lol.

At least one person got wiser AFTER he won the bid.

This car was mis-discribed by the seller. Total waste of Cost &$1350 freight!
