some t-maxx questions

Beautiful day in Michigan today about 80-85 dgrees so I drove my t-maxx but I couldn't keep it under 270 degrees is that normal I even richened it up some to see if it would cool down. Then when I was doing the after run I pulled out the glow plug and it had like a orange goop on it not very must just some is that normal. My last question is when I was first starting it, it acted really weird its 2.5r easy start, I would push in the button and the easy start motor would roll over for a couple of seconds then stop and it would keep doing and then it would just take off and the easy start motor would spin normal and then the engine would fire up, and it would never do it again. I went to eat lunch though and I came back to fire it up probably a 1/2 hour later and I did it again but I think that was a dead battery what does that sound like to you guys I called my lhs and they said easy start motor but they could just want the money to. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me if you have any questions just post and I will ansewer.

Ok start by turning your LSN Counter Clockwise 1/8 turn (Rich) run and check then repeat until temp is around 220. I bet you HSN is fine, second make sure you spray WD-40 in your engine and carb after every run!!!! this is very important, spray wd-40 in the engine and carb then turn the motor over with the ez start while holding a rag over the engine and carb, Repeat 3 times. Also if your engine is flooded the EZ-start will not work, so pull your plug and turn the car on it's side then hook up the EZ-start and let it turn the engine for 10 sec. I'm willing to bet that solves your problem. Next Where in Michigan are you. I'm in Grand Rapids and i have a t-maxx. Hit me back

Also... the pins on my EZ start and on my car are a bit messed up, and don't always make a good connection. I have to make sure to press down firmly or it does exactly what you described.

I kind of hove to pull back and then I notice it works a little better.

Sorry I forgot to say somthing I have the pull starter but what is a good glow plug warmer (brand and Name) please.

I thought you adjusted the lsn to make it more snap it wheelie better and when you shut it off it should take about 3 rev up then die and mine does that exactly.

I think they are thinking you are a little lean an your LSN and thats why you are running hot, more then likely you either have a dead battery in the ez start or your motor is flooded...

270 is what i run my revo 2.5r at i dont like it but it loves that temp and has 5 gallons on it so why fix it if it aint broke

all my other rigs i like betwen 230 and 250. 270 scares me but even traxxas says its ok

I have t-maxx though it has a 2.5r in it so its the same right and how long do you usssuly get out of a motor. Also a couple times I checked the temp it was at 300 so then I just shut it off and let it cool for about 15 minutes. I know thats way to hot so I richened up the hsn and saw a little difference but not much, but next time I drive it I will try to richen the lsn to see if it does anything, the bad part is I live next to a crazy person and she likes to call the cops so I get to drive it about 2 times a week and thats just 2 tanks every run. So next time I run it I'll try to richen the lsn and post and tell you guys what it does.

what time of the day are you driving it? unless you have some kind of noise ordinace you should be able to drive it all day and the cops wouldn't be able to stop you and should tell your crazy neighbor to go pound sand, I know where I live I could drive my truck between 6 am and 10 pm and there would be nothing any one could do about it...it would be like people doing yard work with weed eaters and lawn mowers, or construction people using there tools..they could not stop them because those are normal working hours....

How would I figure out what time of day I could drive it the thing I am worried about is them calling it in as a disruptive noise.

its not any louder then a weed eater and they don't stop people from using them in there yards, I would sugest you talk to a local police officer where you live and ask them if it would be a problem and what time of the day it is ok to use your nitro rc that is no louder then a weed eater, also if you can drive it away from your crazy neighbors house and not past it, but I really don't see how it could be a disruptive noise if you are driving it at a resonable hour and its still light out. good luck with your crazy neighbor...

what kind a fuel u usin i use top fuel 20%
oh and if the starter motor spins and the fly wheel dont move the clutch 4 it is dirty so take it apart and clean it
