The used axial i picked up is starting to come along so i am starting to wonder what i should do to it next.
Its got a few things on it like a sidewinder, bec, 3S, high clearance links in the rear, tcs 4 link upper plates and i think thats it. I really can't decide if i want to run a dig on it. It has one installed right now but it looks homebrew and the idea is good but the execution is lacking and even though i really like the idea of a dig, i rarely used the one i had on my last truck. I thought about maybe some 4ws or something but i don't know.

Give me some ideas.

New Chassis? The swx and slingshot are both sweet looking
Powerful Motor? - Perhaps a cobalt from HH
Steel tranny gears?
new shocks?

Give me some ideas!

id get dig becuase i use dig non stop when crawling. i dont see any point in a puller motor personally, they are cool but a 11 or 12t on a 45t motor on 3s is plenty of power imo. a new chassis would be cool, the swx is pretty nice and so is the slingshot, just remember the sling shot isnt for a 4" shock though, but theres plenty more chassis to look at imo than the swx...mayhems chassis, gc2, maybe the one abadk9 is running too... so maybe a new chassis or some new shocks, pickup some losi shocks or some traxxas big bores.

u need another set of wheels and tires ill give u a deal since your local

yep those mayhems are cool looking chassis!

i've got a dna dig on the list now. the WK ate up my rc funds for this week with full steel gears from rc4wd and a straight axle rear lock-out setup. bah

awesome, DNA is the way to go for a dig imo. and dig is the only way to go lol.

I never got serious enough to get a dig unit, especially with having to gave a 3pos 3channel remote... but you already got the DX3R, so ur set.

yeah, might as well put the ol radio to use. So dna dig it is. should be able to order it next week.

I am staying out in canton, Ms tonight so its gonna be hotel crawling. wooooot

When you order your DNA dig make sure you are getting one of the new ones that comes with all steel internal parts and not the older version with aluminum internals, they are the same price as they were with the aluminum parts so you might as well get the steel, it will hold up longer...

chip was telling me that a few days ago. thanks

i decided the axial needed at least one new part in the mail so it didn't feel left out. After a few hours of reading over at RCC, i decided the best overall chassis is the Bender SWX. I was stuck between the slingshot and SWX but after watching videos and reading what people had to say, the swx was the obvious choice. I am done spending for a few weeks now but both trucks will be fully operational so i can have fun while i save for more stuff.

Yeah you should love that chassis, kinda nice how it comes complete with all the links and every thing, A friend of mine was running that chassis and he realy liked it, but he will now be running Mayhems new one since he is sponsored by them, there is a lot of similarities between the two.

it is a nice chassis, but reading isnt how you find out the best chassis :hehe:

better than buying 3 or 4. :p:

I always research and read user opinions on anything i buy.

Yup the wife has a great chassis too....you can tell by looking but the real proof is how it performs. She liked the Axial crawler but she thinks an Eroute/Berg would be sweet. I agree.

u can't go wrong with a axial chassis bender knows what hes talking about for sure

yeah but its kinda dated imo. still a nice upgrade though.
