I stripped 3 of 4 of my diff gears, (the ones that look like spur gears, has this ever happened to you? What causes it? How much do you think it will cost to have it replaced? Located in Australia and I can't find any online, it's a 1/8 nitro truck, no clue what brand it is, why to they have stock gears as plastic on a truck :/

I am confused ... did you blow up your diff or strip your spur gear? If you stripped your spur it most likely due to a poor gear mesh and had nothing to do with the gear being plastic. A plastic spur will last a very long time with a proper gear mesh.

I believe if your stripping diff gears it too is the diff gear mesh probably to tight or to loose.

You need to shim the diffs properly so there isnt to much resistance but not to loose where the diff gears have a good gap before they grab each other.

It's not the spur gear, the 4 gears inside of the gearbox, the mesh was fine, never been touched for 8 months+ would anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to replace them, having a real hard time finding it online

With out knowing what the brand is, we will have a tough time trying to determine how much it will cost you to fix the spider gears.
