So, my brothers, how's Santa duty goin'? I'm working my way through a fifth of Jim Beam (adding a splash of Coke for color) and slowly getting my way through putting a play kitchen together (10 flippin' C-cell batteries and more decals than a Revo kit, cripes!)

It'll be 2007 before I bounce back! Man, I'm gettin' too old for this poop!

Ya'll be good! The Jolly Fat Man can see you!

Good Luck MW and all others that are putting poop together tonight. I had my turn last night....Santa had to pass early at our house. I got to put a drum set together ( very freaking loud...I could kick Santa in the ass for that one) an air hockey table with basketball goal attachments, wrapped all kinds of poop. When we were done I was to tired to chase Mrs. Clause.

Merry Christmas to all at RCNT!

Hey I did one of those kitchens a couple years ago, I can sympathize! No stuff for me to put together but I about killed my dog and I'm teetering on doing so yet tonight. The bastage got into the my wife's gifts that have been stashed in the same place for the last two weeks. There was no food and the poop was wrapped? WTF? He ate a couple of CD's literally chewed through the cases and chewed up the disc itself, guess he doesn't like Daughtry. He chewed up the case on a Nano but the iPod itself appears ok without teeth marks, tissue paper and wrapping paper, lots of it! A book, made nice work of it just taking out an entire corner, every f-in page. At least he only shredded the packaging and tissue from the Victoria's Secret gift! I'd a been pissed on that one.

Poooooor Mr. Monkey Man :D
Your just trying to make good so Santa wont leave you coal in your stocking AGAIN!

Hope all goes well for you and your family.

I have a pair of Diggler off-road scooters to put together once the kiddies are in bed. It should go together easy, but since it is last minute build, I am expecting issues. At least they won't be getting wrapped.

Kitchen's DONE! Geez, what a pain in the arse that thing was! Easily, two-thirds of that SOB could've been assembled at the factory and still would've fit in the box and don't get me started on the piss poor instructions! All that planning to actually make the thing and they get someone from marketing to write the manual!

Anyhow, I'm checking out! Again, my best wishes to everyone for a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannuakha, Happy Kwanza and any other observed holiday that is celebrated on December 25th!

Looking forward to the "Look What I Got" threads tomorrow!

Ed, I'll be sure to take a real good picture of the coal I get!

Sounds like I got off light this year compared to you monkey. I had to play recieving terminal for all the gifts my sister bought on-line for my nephew (starting about three weeks ago). Starting last night, I had to re-pack them, because he was trying to guess each and every one of 'em.

Nothings' quite as much fun as re-packing a stereo (one of those Sharp boomboxes from walmart) out of the original packing, into a second box, only to find out that it won't fit the box.

So I ended up putting one stereo in two boxes for my neice, packed with news paper to prevent rattling, and the other one in a microwave box (for my nephew, again packed with newspaper). It took having to rummage through the storage shed to find a box in reasonable condition to use.

Not only that, but I ran out of clear packing tape (ask imbroken, lol), so I had to use duct tape to seal up the box.

My neice and nephew got to open the stereos earlier tonight. The first thing my neice said (according to my sister) "Uncle wrapped these, didn't he?". I dunno if it's a good thing or not if I'm known to use duct tape in a pinch, eh?

All this was accomplished in a 30 minute time span (the repacking of the stereos, and wrapping them, complete with bows).

On top of that, I still had to wrap games (about 8 PS2 games), a soccer ball, some dvd's, and a pair of cleats (nephew is playing soccer for highschool right now, but going to be playing football, varsity, this coming year).

At least I didn't have to do any assembly this year.
