i just started waterproofing my truck tonight and i can't figure out how to put the balloon around the reciever...the wires coming from the servos are going into it and how the reciever mounts to the truck makes it difficult to put a balloon around it. If anyone has advice id like to hear it..Thank you

I know what you mean, had a similar issue on my jato. I could either hold the balloon or the receiver, but not both because the servo wires ended up so short I didn't have enough slack to do it myself. Called my wife in, I held the balloon and had her hold the receiver while I put it in the balloon.

We had a bonding moment. lol
 
haha but thats not the problem i have..does the balloon go around the reciver mount too??
 
rtv is a automotive gasket sealer.it will work but plasti dip is better

dude i have a hpi hump pack it is about six mounth old with a charger output ill sell to you for 10
 
a ballon will work but not as good as plasti dip u can dunk the whole receavier into plasti dip and it hardings makeing it waterproof do the same with your servos,water still will seep in with a balloon were the wires go thrue but not with plasti dip
 
it works the best i did that on my eletric flux and i run thru little ponds with it were its half sumerged in water
 
Does that plasti-dip stay a little pliable? I've heard it dries pretty hard. With the vibrations and shock vehicles see, I'd be a little worried about it cracking.

no i have plasti-dip on my savage. its just like a very thin coar of rubber and its flexible. Very good stuff =):D
 
plasti dip goes on as a liqued then rubberizes in a hour it is flexable and can be removed the best part is say you take your servo and just dunk it in the can that whole servo is now water tight like i say i have it on mt flux and totally sumerged my servo and esc and motor under water with no problems
 
I just put plasti dip on my reciever and servos..seems to be doing fine.
