Snow/ice tires for Stampede 4x4

Living in Lake Placid, NY our winters are longer than summers. New door gaskets for the fireplace as well as a new catalytic converter most wood is ready. Now I'm wondering how to drive my Stampede in the winter. I looked a little but did not see any, are there winter tires(hopefully studed) to drive on slick/icy roads?
Id love to drive during the winter. No -20 driving though...

I dont think paddles would be good on ice. I run in the road, the roads are mot plowed down all the way. Ice, with sand on top all winter.

All are water proof. Motor I'm sure will melt some snow. may just try once and decide its not worth it, but maybe it is?

Just watched a video of someone putting screws and nuts through there tires. Has anyone tried this? A second set of tires is way cheaper than a second truck.

Then an air compressor to blow it dry. Clean the bearings with some WD40. Keep the receiver dry. Most are waterproof

Then if you want to get fancy a bottle of conformal coating. But really a sealed receiver box and you're good. Just dry and lube the bearings. Keep it from rusting. New set of bearings is about 35 ish these days for a whole truck. Sometimes half price when you're lucky. Steering servo is usually fine in snow

My advice is to stick to your stock wheels and master 4x4 drifting. Once you get good at it it's an art form. Your driving skills will be prime come Spring.

Just run it and see how it is.

I used to run my Summit in the snow with the stock tires, nothing fancy.

When you're done bring it inside and flip it over to melt everything off then be sure to lube the hardware or it will rust.

A tiny amount of oil in a bottle cap with a qtip can go a long way.

I drive a stock (ish) Granite 3s and a stock (until recently) Gorgon 2s in the ice and snow during the winter.

They slip and slide. Sometimes they hook up, mostly not tho. Its way more fun to drive them while they are semi out of control! Lol!

Theres mud and ice and snow and sticks and leaves. Its a mess in my yard in the winter.

Are you planning on actually running on the ice or will you be bashing in your snowy yard too?

I vote to keep and run stock tires if you aren't ice racing.

No, not the yard as the snow is a few feet by mid winter. Ill have to stick to the street.
