i was jux wondering if you could drive a tmaxx in the snow and not mess up any of the electronics. do you have to tape up your electric stuff or does that jux hurt it more.thanx. :)

Snow driving is fun.It is a good idea to us blue silicon to seal the servos like were the wires go in to the servo and u can put the reciver in a ballon to water proof it. any hole or crack it is a good idea to seal it with blue silicon.or thick grease that helps to

can u drive a 2 wheel drive truck in snow or will it jux spin

If you can get traction then it will work I drove mine in the snow with a 2 wheel drive. but you might want to take a look and Bill Plude he made tire chains for his tires to add traction in snow and ice.

plastic dip your servos and radio box. Thats what I did. This was last year.
Clean up after the fun.

Being that I live in Texas, we dont get much snow here, but I have also heard that it is a good idea to do a "light" spray down with WD-40. Acts as a rust preventer and water repellent. Never tried it myself but maybe some snowbirds have tried it

Merry Christmas!!

Hey also whats that stuff they are spraying on the Roads now that melts the snow but is also eviro-friendly - could you spray your rc with that

I do a light coat of wd after I clean all the snow off. then I actually tear the complete thing down to bare bones and clean it all by hand and put it back together.

Sounds like a good idea. But what if you have several months of snow?

I wash the truck off in my shower (handheld shower head that shoots a really hard stream) with hot hot water. I hit it with canned air in all the important places like the battery pack, carb needles/area, glow plug area (with glowplug in) and at the servo horns to get any water underneath and on the servo screw out. Then I set it on an angle on a towel to let it dry under a lamp, then I oil all exposed bearings with a shot of wd-40.

I've been doing it this way, winter or summer for 3 years and have minimal water related problems. Although, everything is waterproofed really well. Receiver in a balloon with the neck siliconed as well as the battery packs. The servo's are taken apart and sealed at the seams with RTV and I coat them with liquid electrical tape (3 coats).
